With extensive knowledge, traditions and new vision, favorable conditions are created for designers to produce new and better furniture.
Stefan Borselius was born in 1974 in Malmö, Sweden and is currently living and working in the Scania region. He has a journeyman’s certificate in carpentry from the Steneby School, Sweden and is a trained designer. He has studied at the Carl Malmsten’s design school and the furniture and interior architecture program at the University College of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm. Collaboration with Fogia began after Stefan Borselius and Fogia’s CEO, Marcus Hubert, met in Milan, Italy. Discussions about furniture, design and vision arose and confidence in each other blossomed. Shortly thereafter, collaboration began together toward new goals. Thanks to innovative solutions regarding furniture’s form and function, Stefan Borselius has won several Swedish and international awards. Among these are Design S, Swedish Association of Architects “Golden Chair” and “Red Dot, Best of the best” in Germany. Two of his products are also selected and represented at the National Museum in Stockholm.
– As a designer, and also as a trained cabinetmaker, I appreciate Fogia. A factory where everything is made from scratch, from the block of wood to finished product, it is not so common these days. With extensive knowledge, traditions and new vision, favorable conditions are created for designers to produce new and better furniture,” says Stefan Borselius.
Stefan Borselius has designed furniture and lighting for several large Swedish companies. The armchair, Tondo, is the first for Fogia, but with Stephen’s history of collaborations with companies, it is certainly not the last.
